Why you should make Hidden Ridge Resort your home away from home in Banff this summer!
With full kitchens and wood burning fireplaces, Hidden Ridge Resort’s condos have everything you need to truly feel at home. Hike or mountain bike from your door, then enjoy a glass of wine on the deck, or soak in the resort’s outdoor hot pool. Only minutes from downtown Banff, Hidden Ridge offers the best of both worlds: quiet mountain retreat with proximity to dining, museums, and shopping. Here are five reasons to stay at Hidden Ridge Resort:

Table of Contents
1. Spacious, well-appointed condos
Whether you’re getting away for the weekend with your significant other or extended family, Hidden Ridge Resort has the perfect unit for you. Condos sleep 2-12 people; have full kitchens with dishes, pots and pans, and utensils; wood burning fireplaces + free firewood; private decks/balconies; and free wi-fi. The largest unit (4 levels, 3 queen beds, 2 pullout sofas, 2 full bathrooms) even has a games room! For a special occasion, book a Premier King Condo with hot tub, or Two Bedroom Condo with jetted tub.
We loved our one bedroom with loft condo (3 queen beds + pullout sofa)! I had my own bedroom on the main floor and the kids had their own beds and half bathroom in the loft. Having the kids on a separate level meant I could stay up late on the main floor after the kids went to sleep. Another desirable feature of staying in a condo is that we had our own entrance (no trekking through a hotel lobby and pressing elevator buttons).
2. Outdoor pool and hot pool
Hidden Ridge’s outdoor pools have killer views and pretty seating areas (one is in the shade, the other one by the hot pool has a firepit). Since we visited during the hottest days of summer, we stayed in the pool, but the hot pool looks amazing for a cool night.
3. Location: Trails at your doorstep, minutes from downtown Banff
You can literally adventure from your door when you stay at Hidden Ridge Resort, on the side of Tunnel Mountain. Hike to the Hoodoos viewpoint or Surprise Corner, or mountain bike Tunnel Bench Loop (there are several wicked side trails worth doing too!).
The Tunnel Mountain trailhead and downtown Banff are only two kilometres away. See our story: Hike to the summit of Tunnel Mountain for more info on this short, scenic hike. There’s great dining in town, and a grocery store if you forgot anything and prefer to cook your own meals.
4. Amenities
In addition to the outdoor pools, Hidden Ridge has a children’s play area and communal BBQ area (first come first served), laundry, and complimentary DVD rentals.
Hidden Ridge Resort also provides free bike rentals (1/2 an hour during peak season), a Best of Banff discount booklet, and complimentary Banff Roam public transit passes. Leave the car at the condo and explore Banff stress-free! Roam public transit can take you downtown, to the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, or Banff Gondola.
