KÜHL, German for “cool”, lives up to its name with attractive, high-quality hiking gear. Check out our review of the Flight Jacket & Enduro Revrs Leggings.
I’ve been in love with KÜHL, an American outdoor clothing brand for years, so when I got the chance to test and review the KÜHL Flight Jacket and Enduro Revrs Leggings, I jumped at the chance. If you follow my Instagram account, you have probably already seen these stylish items as well as the KÜHL Spyfire Down Hoody (my favorite down jacket – click here to read my review).
What sets KÜHL apart, is their flattering, form-fitting design and attention to detail. Clothes are cut to fit well and move with you, whether you’re on an urban stroll or mountain hike. Plus, they look damn good! Almost every time I wear one of my KÜHL jackets, someone asks where I got it! Here’s how the KÜHL Flight Jacket and Enduro Revrs Leggings stood up to a few months of walking, hiking, and biking.

KÜHL Flight Jacket Review
Made of luxurious midweight Italian fleece, the KÜHL Flight Jacket, is super warm and cozy. While I usually wear down in the mountains because it’s light and compressible, I have been wearing the Flight Jacket on hikes and bike rides because it’s so comfy and cute. Thumbholes allow me to keep the tops of my hands warm when I forget my gloves, and also make for easy layering – no need for sleeves to ride up when you put on a waterproof/windproof shell.
With four pockets, you can keep essentials handy. The lower pockets are large enough for all your essentials: phone, wallet, keys, lip gloss, and more. Meanwhile, the chest pockets are suitable for small items you want to access without taking off your backpack like a credit card or camera lens cleaning cloth.
Stowaway hood Wash and wear Layer it on cold days
The stowaway hood is perfect for those times I don’t want to dig in my pack for my toque. It fits well, but I would like to see an elastic hem or toggles on future versions of this jacket to keep drafts out. When I don’t need the hood, it can be tucked away in a zippered compartment on the collar. This is a great feature to have when you’re wearing multiple jackets and don’t want two hoods flapping around.
I like that the collar is high on this jacket so my neck stays warm. The only thing I would change, is to add a zipper garage to the zipper.
As for fit, I find KÜHL fits true to size. I am 5’3″ and 120 pounds and in between size XS and S, so I ordered size Small to allow room for layering. I can wear a thermal shirt under the Flight Jacket and wear a shell/down jacket over it. The shaping is very flattering which is not something you can say about most fleece jackets!
So far, the material has held up well. After 3.5 months and a couple washings, the jacket looks like new, and the fleece fluffs up beautifully in the dryer. Easy care makes fleece an attractive option to those who don’t want to wash down jackets. When we were hanging out at a campfire recently, I changed into my Flight jacket because I can throw it in the wash with my other clothes and the smoke smell will actually wash out. No fuss, no stress!
If you’re looking for a cozy and attractive mid-layer or spring jacket, the KÜHL Flight Jacket is an awesome choice! Available in five colors: Stone (shown in photos), Black, Breen (chocolate brown), Rustic (reddish-brown), and Flint (silver-grey).
The KÜHL Flight line also includes a cozy pullover with snaps and hood, and hooded vest.
KÜHL Enduro Revrs Leggings Review
The KÜHL Enduro Revrs Leggings are perfect for spring as they’re a bit thicker than regular leggings and offer two different looks. One side has a soft, brushed woven fabric (shown above) while the abrasion-resistant side is like thick yoga pants material. Threads can catch on the brushed side, so make sure you hike with the smooth side out.
Seams are flat-locked for comfort and the large, zippered pocket on the waistband (on the back) can hold a housekey and credit cards when you go out for a morning run. You could fit your phone in there if you wanted to – the pocket is that big.
As for sizing, the size small leggings are a bit loose around my knees despite my meaty legs. However, looking at the size chart, I should have gotten XS (25-26″ waist, 35-36″ hip). The Regular length (29″ inseam) is just right for me though! So check the size chart before you buy to make sure you get the right size.
These leggings are currently unavailable, but the KÜHL Transcendr Leggings are a great alternative; also made with abrasion-resistant material.
All in all, I love my new hiking gear from KÜHL. It fits well and looks great!
